Visiting visas may be renewed seven days before to expiration
According to the General Directorate of Passports (Jawazat), a valid medical insurance policy is required in order to extend a visit visa seven days before its expiration date.
If the visitor has medical insurance that complies with the service’s specific requirements, the visit visa for individuals may be extended through the host’s account on the Absher platform seven days before its validity expires.
While Jawazat acknowledged that a fine for delaying the extension of the visit visa will be charged if three days had passed since its expiration date, it also underlined that the guidelines mandate that the overall extension of the visit visa must not exceed 180 days.
It is not possible to change a visitor visa into a residence visa, according to Jawazat.
Additionally, it stated that traffic violations on the host’s record do not prevent the renewal of the visitor’s visa through the Absher platform.
Additionally, the extension of the visitor’s visit visa is unaffected by the expiration of the host’s resident identity.
